Members Information

Competition

The Woodend Golf Club holds official competitions for male and female members each Saturday and Tuesday.
Female members also hold a club competition on Wednesdays.

The tee is reserved for members on Saturdays between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

When entering the competition – Competitors are required to enter their names on the competition sheet and pay the competition fee before commencing play. Draws will be made by committee members at regular intervals to send players away.

Completed score cards should be returned immediately after the completion of the round to the scorer inside the clubhouse. **If clubhouse is unattended scorecards are to be placed in scorecard box located at the sign-in bench**

All scores will be recorded and winners announced at the conclusion of the days play. Prize winners who are unable to be present at this time should arrange to collect prizes at a mutually convenient time with the captain.

Lady member’s competitions

 Ladies main competition day is Wednesday. On Saturdays, if insufficient ladies are available, they are welcome to join and play with the general competition field. You should sign the ladies book to ensure attendance is recorded. A minimum of three players over the Saturday and following Wednesday is required to form a ladies competition. To qualify for the club championships and Annette Wiber trophies, ladies must play in a minimum of three Woodend Club competitions prior to these events.

Pennant Competition

The Woodend male members compete in the Dalhousie District Golf Association Pennant Competition. Games are contested under match play rules and it is a great opportunity to play golf in a team environment. WGC has a proud pennant history, and members are encouraged to sign up and support the club.
The Ladies compete in the Dalhousie District, which is run over (5) rounds. The games are also contested under match play rules.
